The Kliman Family 2011 Holiday Letter

The Kliman family had a fantastic year full of may exciting adventures!Janet and Bob

Bob and Janet’s fun continues with typical sensory overload. Many of these events were shared with our friends and include; New Year’s weekend in Mission Bay; Paso Robles wine festivals; wine tasting/food pairing dinners; a play; a tour of Helena Modjeska’s home, and several concerts including Ray Manzarek & Robby Krieger (formerly The Doors), Hollywood Bowl concerts & picnics and many geocaching hikes and bike rides.

Bob did some OC Sheriff volunteer shifts at: OC Fair Lost Children’s booth; OC Airport; San Juan Capistrano Parade.

Some of Matt’s adventures included hosting all night computer parties. One was with deep fryer foods – ah to be a teenager.  Matt attended a three day leadership training program hosted by the Rotary Club after apply for, and winning the Rotary Youth Leadership award.

Bob and Matt went to the Hawaiian Islands on Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL). Some of the activities were, a downhill bike ride on Maui, a submarine ride in Lahaina, parasailing and snorkeling on Kona, and tubing, zipline, kayaking, and waterfall hike on Kauai.

A Kern River trip was just not in the cards this year so in August Bob and Matt camped at San Clemente with bicycle rides. This trip included a lot of driver training for Matt.

After several classes and many hours of driving with his dad & mom, Matt is now a licensed driver! He bought and is restoring a 1968 VW bug he calls “Ol' Blue".

Ben graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications (Emphasis in Entertainment and Tourism) from California State University, Fullerton.  Following his career path goals, Ben is now employed at the Disney’s California Adventure park.
