Kliman Family Letter 2009

Bob received a wonderful gift of a GPS navigator for finding his way around town!  Matt, the typically brilliant teenager, busted dad for speeding as he found the log file showing the maximum speed of 73.6 mph.

Matthew had braces on his teeth and has concluded that he has had every possible torture known to mankind with rubber bands, brackets, chains, bumpers and other things attached to them inserted in his mouth.  Yay!  Torture was over after several years as they were removed.

Grandma Evelyn had a major heart attack and stroke in late March.  She was put on hospice with a decent quality of life until she passed away October 12.  Beyond doubt she lived a full and vibrant life!

Matt and Bob took a Segway tour of Long Beach which was awesome.  This was just in case there was not going to be one on their next cruise.  In June, they went on a cruise to Labadee, Haiti.  Some of their adventures included parasailing and the longest zip line they had ever been on, Dragon's Breath, over 2,000 feet long.  In Ocho Rios, Jamaica they did a Bobsled on a track in the mountains.  In the Cayman Islands they did a bicycle adventure including a stop in the city of Hell.  In Cozumel they did a Segway Adventure and Matt got his hair braided.

From July 10 to the 22, Ben went on another one of his coaster expeditions.  This time to theme parks in the Deep South and Texas.

Ben’s job is now with a concession company where he operates and maintains remote control boats and cars located at the Disneyland Hotel and Knott’s Berry Farm.

Matt finally made level 80 on WOW while at his Grandparent’s during a summer week in Prescott, Arizona. Ben now attends Cal State Fullerton majoring in Communications with an emphasis in Entertainment Studies.  Matt also redid his bedroom at Dad’s with new paint, a futon, a ceiling fan, and a desk.  He built his first computer with many donated parts.  It’s turning out to be incredible with a really hot video card and support components that are great!

Thanks to the California State Government, Ben had to fight to get his classes at Cal State Fullerton.  If that was not enough there were Furlough days for the teachers so some class sessions were cancelled.  Adding insult to injury, Matt had a few days off from high school due to this Furlough game as well.
